Swiss Franc

The Swiss Franc is the official currency of Switzerland. The official abbreviation for the Swiss Franc is CHF (from the Latin name of the country Confederatio Helvetica, CH) or simply Fr or Sfr.
The Swiss Franc is the fifth most dealt currency on the exchange market and is neck and neck with the Australian Dollar.
The Swiss currency is one of the more stable currencies in the world, thanks to its neutrality, to a very conservative monetary policy and to the great gold reserves of the Swiss National Bank.
The Swiss currency is considered a major currency on the Forex as the investors think it is a great defensive security. Its economy and its society are conservative and stable.
The banking system still has a good reputation of strict confidentiality and of excellent client service. As long as the investors will fear for the asset security, whatever the reason, global funds will still be invested in CHF.
At the heart of the Swiss Franc...
The oldest official Swiss coin in circulation is the 10 cent coin of 1879 (same alloy, same drawings since this date).
