George Soros is a billionaire speculator who became famous thanks to his speculation operations on the exchange market. It was on September 16, 1992 (nicknamed black Wednesday) by speculating against the Sterling Pound and forcing the Bank of England to make its currency go out of the EMS « European Monetary System » when Georges Soros became « The man who broke the Bank of England ». These transactions against the Sterling Pound would have made this trader generate about $ 1.1 billion gain...
The same way, George Soros made the Lira go out of the European Monetary System. After the attacks against the Sterling Pound and the Lira, the speculator lost when he attacked the French Franc which resisted thanks to the concerted intervention of the French and German central Banks.
